Each year, the Alice Ferguson Foundation shares the wonder and excitement of its farm, along with the woodlands, wetlands, and waterways of the Potomac River watershed with thousands of students, teachers, and citizens. By partnering with the Alice Ferguson Foundation, you are not only supporting our educational and outreach programs, but also touching the lives of thousands of community members who participate in our programs and annual events.

More than 80 percent of our income directly supports programs. Your clients and employees will appreciate knowing about the educational programs you are supporting, and our beautiful country setting just 12 miles outside of DC provides a setting for excellent team-building experiences.

The Alice Ferguson Foundation offers flexible corporate partnership opportunities at every financial level for businesses seeking to invest. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available at levels ranging from $2,500 to $25,000.Your sustained support makes our work possible.

For more than six decades, we have touched the lives of nearly half a million students, adult learners, and teachers. Each year, thousands of students engage in hands-on learning through our programs, and thousands more volunteers discover and engage with their local watershed through community workshops and local cleanups. Our historic 330-acre working farm supports robust sustainable agriculture, arts, and cultural heritage programs.

Your support will:

  • Ensure free day and overnight educational programs at our Hard Bargain Farm education campus for public school students.
  • Furnish all necessary scientific equipment and supplies for field studies
  • Provide bus transportation for student participation in programs
  • Enhance STEM-based learning in our new state-of-the-art education building
  • Supply thousands of volunteers with training, bags, and gloves for the annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup
  • Enable an annual gathering of business, government, nonprofit, and community leaders to focus on solutions to the pervasive problem of litter
  • Help to host major community events annually (see attached)
  • Sustain a robust community theater program and concert series
  • Facilitate the operation and maintenance of our unique property, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
