Written by Henry G. Ferguson in 1966, Hard Bargain Adventures is a perfect compliment to Adventures in Souther Maryland by his wife, Alice L. L. Ferguson.

Henry's 63 page book opens with "I was not particularly anxious for a country place..." and takes you through Alice's unrepentant admission that she purchased Hard Bargain whilst Henry was out of town, to his own admission that he could not possibly be both a field geologist and a country squire. Henry's is a very interesting perspective on the Ferguson's life at Hard Bargain to include their purchases of nearby tracts of land now known as the Moyoane Reserve. View Sample Page
