Become a Sponsor

To sponsor the Initiative is to participate in an impactful program that creatively engages stakeholders to address the environmental, social, and economic impacts of trash and litter.

Your clients, customers, and colleagues care about the issue of trash in the Potomac Watershed. Over the last 27 years, the Annual Cleanup has removed over 7 million pounds of trash from the Potomac Watershed with the help of 130,000 volunteers. In 2014 alone 14,766 volunteers at 671 sites removed 576,000 pounds of trash. More than 150 stakeholders from business, government, nonprofits, and citizen groups attended the 9th Annual Trash Summit to craft strategies to address trash and litter issues in the region.

Your sponsorship supports the Initiative’s other multifaceted activities, including the vibrant Trash Free Maryland and Trash Free Virginia Alliances; the Trash Free Potomac Facilities program; the Trash Free Schools Project; the Trash Free Communities grassroots campaign; and Litter Enforcement Month. The Initiative supports year-round community Cleanups through its online Trash Free Potomac Network.
