The Alice Ferguson Foundation has been named a 2024 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® grant recipient and we’ve received a total of $200,000 to further share the wonder and excitement of the great outdoors with Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC children and teachers through STEM-focused learning in nature.
With this grant, we plan to engage 8,000 students through our transformative environmental education programs, provide professional development workshops for 100 science teachers, and support 2,000 cleanup volunteers throughout the National Capital region.
The True Inspiration Awards program was established in 2015 to carry on Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy’s legacy of generosity and community service. To be selected, a nonprofit must work to address a key issue that aligns with Chick-fil-A’s corporate social responsibility priorities: Caring for People, Caring for Others through Food, Caring for Our Communities and Caring for our Planet.
We would like to thank Chick-fil-A, Inc. for this incredible gift. We are grateful for your continued support and cannot wait to continue doing great work in our community!
