The Alice Ferguson Foundation and the Bridging the Watershed staff are proud to partner with national and state parks across the DC Metro region. With the tireless support and participation of park rangers, we are able to provide students with the opportunity to explore the vast natural and cultural resources these parks contain, and use their natural spaces to allow students to do authentic work as field scientists.
Our partnering parks are a vital component of a Bridging the Watershed field study. However, depending on the kind of field study you want and the make-up of your class, there can be restrictions that you’ll want to consider. For instance, not all parks are suitable for all curriculum modules, some are not suitable for disabled students, and some can only accommodate smaller groups. To ensure you make the best park choice, click on a marker, or select a park using the list below the map, to view park information and field study details.
