Charles County Adopt-A-Stream Workshop

This virtual workshop will focus on how anyone can sign up to help monitor the levels of trash within the Charles County waterways. Anyone is welcome to join. No experience necessary!

Learn what it means to “Adopt-a-Stream” or find out more about how you too can organize your own cleanup at home with family and friends. Workshop participants will also learn how the data collected is shared with jurisdictions to help implement proven trash and litter reduction policies (bag fees, foam bans, etc.).
After the virtual workshop, interested participants can schedule a stream visit with the Alice Ferguson Foundation to go over how to adopt that stream, review the details covered in the virtual workshop, collect supplies, and prepare for their first monitoring session and cleanup.
The workshop is being held virtually so you will be able to attend from the comfort of your own home! This workshop will be using Zoom. We will share all of the Zoom details closer to our workshop date.
