Celebrate Earth Day with a tour with our Executive Director and learn more about one of the world’s greenest building!
Celebrate Earth Day by joining Alice Ferguson Foundation’s Executive Director, Theresa Cullen for a tour of our Living Building and learn about our Living Shoreline. Join us to learn more about one of the world’s greenest buildings, the 13th project in the world to achieve full Living Building Certification. The building features net zero energy, water, and non-toxic building components as well as composting toilets, green retaining walls.
You will also learn about the extraordinary work we undertook to stabilize the rapidly eroding Potomac River with an innovative “Living Shoreline”.
In keeping with the Foundation’s mission, these structures work in harmony with nature and are used to educate and inspire a green generation.
