Entries are now being accepted for the 2013 AF&PA Recycling Awards, which recognize businesses, communities, and schools across the country for new and innovative programs that aim to increase the amount of paper recovered for recycling.
A winning school, business and community program will each receive a $2,000 cash prize, a piece of original paper art, and local and national visibility, and runners-up will be featured online. New this year is a Fan Favorite award in each category, determined by online voting resulting from a social sharing campaign. Award descriptions, criteria, and entry forms are available at www.paperrecycles.org. The deadline for entries is Feb. 15, 2013.
Enter your successful business, community or school paper recycling program in the 2013 American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) Recycling Award competition! Along with bragging rights, each winning program earns $2,000, original framed artwork, and local and national recognition. Winners, runners-up and unique contributions will also be highlighted on paperrecycles.org. New this year, schools have the opportunity to submit students’ artwork related to paper recycling, the best of which will be featured on future AF&PA promotions and educational materials.
Also new is a Fan Favorite award in each category – encourage friends, colleagues, and fellow students to vote for your entry on-line in a separate competition resulting in visibility and a $250gift card for award-winning programs. Upon completion of your entry, share the link provided via Facebook and Twitter, and encourage your followers to vote for your program. Deadline for Fan Favorite voting is February 28, 2013.
