BTW 101 Workshop is for teachers interested in becoming trained on the Bridging the Watershed program and doing one of the 5 modules about watersheds. Teachers have to attend a training/workshop to be able to schedule a field study. Preference will be given to PG county schools due to agreements. Teachers will be notified if accepted pending availability by March 13, 2015.
For the day of the training please bring a packed a lunch and water. Try to make the lunch trash free as possible as many parks are trash free. Dress in layers since we will be doing outside activities in afternoon. Bring paper and writing utensils. Look over water canaries in the curriculum section to familiarize with the module being conducted that day. It can be found here: Water Canaries: Assessing Benthic Macroinvertebrates
If you have any questions, please email Heather Zdobysz, Bridging the Watershed Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
