How To Organize A Cleanup

This workshop will provide you with information to lead a successful individual, family, household, or community cleanup.

The 33rd Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup event is approaching soon! Join us for this virtual workshop to learn how to safely organize a trash cleanup within your community during a pandemic. We will go over all the steps you need to take to organize a cleanup, where to get COVID-19 safety information for your jurisdictions, and how to collect data to help support source reduction policies!

About the Potomac River Watershed Cleanup

Each year from March – May, thousands of volunteers come out to help remove trash and litter from communities and waterways across Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia as part of the Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup. The largest regional event of its kind, the Cleanup provides a transforming experience that engages citizens and community leaders and generates momentum for change.

From the comfort of your own home! The workshop is going to be held via Zoom. We will send out more information before the event.
