Programs at the Farm

Nature Nuts Play Pods

Join us for Nature Nuts, an outdoor play pod program for early childhood and elementary-age students, filled with outdoor adventures, laughter, and learning.  Featuring small group play pod options in the morning or afternoon.

Many families are trying to figure out what to do to keep their kids safe, active, and healthy socially and emotionally during this pandemic. We have the answer!  Students will enjoy outdoor activities focused on being in nature while learning, and engaging in physical activity.  Each session will be led by experienced, certified educators. Activities will include discovering the farm, meeting our cows, goats, sheep and other barnyard animals, diving into scavenger hunts and hiking, becoming a nature detective, exploring plants and pollinators in the children’s garden, exploring the wet meadow and much more.

COVID-19 Safety Measures: All educators we will wear masks and we will have daily temperature checks for everyone. Children will wear masks if indoor time is required due to inclement weather.  We will have a contactless drop off.  Pods will not intermix and will be the same for the duration of the session.  The group will be limited to 9 children.  COVID-19 CDC and Maryland Early Childhood State Guidelines will be strictly followed and enforced.  All families will be expected to sign a waiver and commit to these guidelines.

Work While They Play: Parents and caretakers are invited to stay on site (free wifi available) while the kids are participating in the programs. This is a great option for parents who want to use this time to work, or would like to skip the extra driving.

Please see our Parent Packet for a sample schedule, Frequently Asked Questions, more about our health and safety measures, and additional information about the program.
