Introduction - Plant keys provide a systematic way to identify plants. This visual key is based on leaf shapes, margins, and their arrangement on a stem. You can use it to identify plants, even when they are not in bloom. (This nontraditional key is designed to help you key out a limited number of plants during months when floristic characteristics are not visible.)
