Each year, the Trash Free Potomac Watershed Initiative request a report from watershed jurisdictions that describes the actions they are taking to protect the watershed and decrease litter at its source. You can download submitted reports from 2007-2015 below.
Why are they important?
Jurisdictional Reports are important as they assist the Trash Free Potomac Watershed, local government agencies, and organizations supporting a clean and healthy Potomac understand the regional infrastructure for litter management, find watershed protection best management practices, and local efforts to reach out to for advice. From the resident’s perspective, it is helpful to understand what their county or town is doing to protect them and the environment.
Who can submit a Report?
Only authorized government representatives from states, counties, cities or townships within the Potomac River Watershed may submit a Jurisdictional Report. If you are unsure if your jurisdiction is within the Potomac Watershed, look at the map on the right.
