Visit Us

Just south of Washington DC, the Alice Ferguson Foundation is located on a historic farm on the shore of the Potomac River. We welcome school groups, homeschool students, rentals, corporate retreats, weddings, volunteers, and small group visits. Spend the day on our 330-acre riverfront working farm with our educators and naturalists.



Small Group or Family Visits


Join us at our historic Hard Bargain Farm educational campus to visit with the barnyard animals, explore the wetlands and woods with a nature hike or birdwalk, or discover where food comes form as you learn about farming and agriculture at our 1930’s era working farm.

Tour the farm and meet our barnyard animals close up – Cows, goats and sheep, oh my! Learn about farming, animals, and where food comes from in our historic barnyard. | Ages 4 and up.

Ready to enjoy the outdoors? Want to experience wild animals in their natural habitat? Come on out to Hard Bargain Farm to take a walk on the wild side for a chance to see our butterflies, beavers and birds. | Ages 4 and up.
